Self-Operated (Self-Op) Stores

Store Review: We provide a comprehensive “Strengths and Weaknesses” analysis of your store’s operation, covering operational procedures, financial performance, and marketing strategies. Based on our findings, we recommend methodologies to bolster weaker areas and enhance overall effectiveness.

Comparative Review: Our team compares your current store operation results with those projected under outsourced or hybrid management models, helping you understand potential benefits and improvements.

Outsourcing RFP Development and Execution: We assist your institution in developing and executing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for outsourcing. This service can cover the entire store or focus solely on textbooks, allowing the Spirit Shop to remain self-operated if preferred.

Remote Management: Our active consulting services can remotely direct your self-operated Spirit Shop for an extended period. We work to strengthen weak areas and optimize the operation, focusing on both financial performance and inventory investment. Support is also available for outsourcing textbook management while maintaining control over other aspects of the store as well as transitioning the spirit shop back to self-op.

Outsourced Stores

Contract Evaluation and Commission Audit: We evaluate the strength of your current outsourcing contract and audit the commissions received under the existing commission structure. This service addresses potential issues arising from recent commission variables observed in the industry.

New RFP Development and Execution: We guide your institution through the development and execution of new agreements, whether for the entire store or specifically for textbooks. General Merchandise operations may also be managed through our Remote Management program, as needed.

Remote Management for Outsourced Textbooks: When your institution outsources textbooks, our Remote Management program ensures a robust textbook program and a strengthened self operated Spirit Shop.
